I like stories that explore the dark side of human nature.MaryAnn Popehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08618345950149423623noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4561827139818452407.post-4998434841301055982013-07-28T10:55:19.145-07:002013-07-28T10:55:19.145-07:00I am drawing a complete blank! She's definitely not the typical kind and gentle, selfless herione. And Mr. Knightly is a very awesome good boy. :)MaryAnn Popehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08618345950149423623noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4561827139818452407.post-7660882695601649042013-07-24T11:41:31.880-07:002013-07-24T11:41:31.880-07:00Becky Sharp and Scarlet O'Hara.Becky Sharp and Scarlet O'Hara. I know, at first glance she doesn't seem that bad because Austen makes the reader like Emma. But really, Emma's selfish, arrogant, and plays with people's lives as if they're her toys. And then...Emma begins to she herself as she really is and undergoes a tremendous transformation. It's one of my favorite redemption stories. (And, okay, I love Mr. Knightley too.)Connie Kellerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10774616533630985219noreply@blogger.com
